I am trying to read the trouble codes on my 2001 Subaru Forester with the CTool Reader. When I plug it in I get [Ctools-08] Then 1 ... 2... 3... a pause and then 4...5...ERR. My check engine light was on and when I read the codes with my laptop using Digimoto 4.03 SW and the ELM Interface I was able to read and reset the two codes. I Purchased the Creader looking for a simple way to read and reset the codes without the laptop though but no dice! Any Ideas..... Otherwise I may have to return it!

Thanks a lot

My reader does the same thing on a 99 Chev, Suburban.  Did you ever get your reader to work?

Mine worked last year when I had a vacuum line crack, but now it gives me the "1,2,3,...4,5,Err"
