I bought a Digimoto setup awhile back with the ELM interface. At that time, you had to choose between 3 different cables for the vehicle side of the ELM module. I have the cable that will fit a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It worked well on that vehicle. I now own a 2000 Chevrolet pickup truck and need to hook up to it. I am trying to find out if I can use the same cable or if I need to get a different one from somewhere. I see that the unit you guys currently sell works on any system and I have been unable to locate the chart of vehicles that used to be on your site to try to answer my own question. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. -Chris

Chris,
If you can see your way to the MOBYDIC, that would be the best way to go. Keep in mind that the ELM is not supported any longer by most of the programs. The other thing is that as you go along you buy different vehicles, you need different hardware.
If you have the MOBYDIC you get rid of the problem as you can plug in to any regular vehicle and off you go. I have the MOBYDIC Bluetooth, and would not be without it. It is on the expensive side, however if for some reason, my laptop blows it's cool, I can move the program to the desktop. Yes I would have to go thru Digimoto to do it, because I would be changing computers, but it is possible no wires, and able to read up to 300 feet......

| As there are many different types of ELM IC's and adapters, which one do you have? I use the ELM327 that supports all the OBD2 protocols.

I have the Blue Tooth 3200. That thing has it's own road to hoe, if I start the system without having it connected to a vehicle it gets lost. So when I do connect it to a vehicle the laptop cannot find it, and I have to go get it started again through the control panel. I love the blue tooth antenna though, and would not trade it for a cable setup. It allows me to sit anywhere in the vehicle or even outside my vehicle to check what is going on, up to 300 feet away....... I was able to check a friends car during a rain storm by just connecting the antenna inside the car then going inside my house to read the computer to find what was going on. Seems his wife filled the tank without putting the gas cap back on, however the check engine light came on, and here in NE if that light is on they will not check emissions for you.
